February 5th will always be a day to remember for Judi & Bob. It’s the day their lives changed in a fairytale, storybook way. A type of story movies are made for. And just like any good fairytale, this is how it began…
Once upon a time (February 5th 2019 to be exact) a woman named Judi decided to take advantage of an unseasonably warm day enjoying the beach in her hometown of Bethany Beach, DE. With her trusty chair, and favored love novel in hand, Judi walked amongst the seashells washed on the shoreline until she found the perfect spot amongst the sunshine and seagulls to place her chair and dive into her book. Nestled comfortably in her chair, feet dangling over the side, Judi began reading her book. After a few chapters, Judi noticed a man standing off in the distance staring into the ocean. He had been there for quite some time. Curious, Judi closed her book and emerged from her chair. She strolled down the beach slowly. Looking back over her shoulder, she noticed she had the attention of the man. With a quick little turn, she started walking in the mans direction. She walked in front of him and finally decided to engage in conversation. She had seen him there for so long, curiosity got the best of her. Or was it fate?
Judi spent the next few hours conversing, learning more about each other. Bob was from Virginia and had driven up to the beach that day on a whim, just to get away. Within moments of talking to her, he knew she was someone special and that he’d see her again.
Their second date was Valentines Day. Bob drove up to Judi at the beach and they dined at rope walk, a local restaurant where they fell in love.
Bob put a ring on it and they are getting married on February 5, 2020. One year from the day they met.
